Service Description

This beginner, group class is perfect for the beginner riders. Students will gain confidence and learn from the ground up on how to handle horses as well as riding. Each student receives a fun coloring book when they register that can be taken home for further study. Students will learn how to safely interact with horses, grooming, leading, and independently riding. This class lays the foundation down for a balanced seat and thoughtful horsemanship to follow your child as they grow. Students will have the ability to test out of the level at the end of the month. All students will receive ribbons and certificates when they test out of the level. Paddock or similar riding boots, and a helmet are required. Leggings or stretchy pants are OK to use, but breeches and half chaps are recommended. Please dress for the weather. The arena is not heated. Layers are encouraged in cold months. Gloves are good to ride in, mittens are not allowed. Hats made to sit over the helmet are good to wear, but for safety reasons hats and ear warmers are not permitted under the helmets. This class is a mix of both mounted and unmounted learning. In the case of extreme weather, class will be held inside the heated barn.
